Academic focus: Accounting/Economics
I pledged Kianu because during rush, I felt that it was my best fit and where I felt at home. I feel like these girls are my rock and always there to help me out. I've never seen such a diverse group of girls that are so close to each other and I feel like I am safe with them. I really wanted to feel included in something and have sisters to get close with. Kianu has been a great experience so far and I'm so excited for the future.

I joined Kianu because it feels like my home away from home. I know that I have girls supporting me and they will always be there no matter what. Knowing that I have this amazing support system and all these friendships makes being away from home so much easier.

GillKristin Gill (2016)
Hometown: Ashville, OH
Academic focus: I am an early childhood education major with a minor in mathematics
Interests: softball at MU, singing, sketching, and spending time with friends and family.

I pledged Kianu because I knew coming into college that being a part of Greek life is something I wanted to do. I wanted a sisterhood where I was accepted, where people had the same interests as me, and with girls I could trust to be there for me and have my best in mind. The Kianu club stuck out to me right from the beginning of my freshman year. The way they welcomed me with friendly smiles and opened arms at their parties to saying hi to me on the quad during the day, I knew then that was where I wanted to go. I felt I had already made the connection with those girls that I was looking for in a sorority before I even joined. Being a part of Kianu has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life and I love the friendships I have made.

Katie RKatie Riepenhoff (2017)
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
Interests: Soccer, Friends, and Family
Academic focus: Business Management & Marketing
I pledged Kianu because I felt at home when I was with the Kianu girls for the first time. I'm an only child and love having sisters now; it is amazing to know you always have a group of girls there for you through the years. When I pledged Kianu, I could tell that I would make lifelong friends though the club. Also, my mother (Julie Johnston Riepenhoff) was a Kianu in 1981 and it feels great to share Kianu with her. I pledged Kianu to make great memories at Muskingum with a group of incredible girls that I will remember the rest of my life.

Paige Rogers (2017)
Hometown: Dayton, OH
Interests: watching movies, hanging out with friends, and playing sports
Academic focus: Biology major
I pledged Kianu because at all their events everyone was always friendly and seemed genuine. I wanted a place that could feel like home and people that I knew I could be friends with and that would always be there for me and I felt that Kianu was that place.

SimmermanKimberly Simmerman (2017)
Hometown: Uhrichsville, Ohio
Interests: Volleyball, shopping, reading, crafting, and family
Academic Focus: Nursing major
I pledged Kianu because I felt a bond between the girls and the club itself. The girl who really helped me to make my decision was Katie Hoben, who is now my beautiful and amazing Big. She and the other girls made me feel comfortable and a part of Kianu, even though most of them did not know me. I didn't see any of them as an imitation of something or someone else. They're all themselves and that's what I love most.

Katie Snider (2016)
Hometown: Coshocton, Ohio
Interests: Spending time with family and friends, shopping, staying active and traveling.
Academic Focus: Psychology major, with history minor
I pledged Kianu because it felt like home. I knew I always wanted to be a member of the Greek community at Muskingum and Kianu was the best fit for me. Kianu feels like my foundation in life; I feel like I will always have my sisters and this bond to support me in anything I do.
