I'd like to nominate Barbara Sue Cartwright Williams, Kianu
President for the class of 1960, as the girl with the arrow. Barbara is a
compassionate, thinking person whose inner warmth and strength is known by
all who know her well. Barbara is an outgoing person, a doer, thinking of
others needs. A mathematics major, she kept the club solvent under her leadership
even though there were such needs as a new refrigerator, new ceilings in the
dining room and second living room, and a new shower that did not require
a plunger. She was affectionately known as the ‘chief’. We took
the Grand Prize in house decorations at Homecoming our senior year. The House
was a ‘Castle'. Imagine that. Actives, have you tried that idea lately?
Always the loyal friend of Kianu, I'm so proud to nominate an old timer (as
we must call ourselves these days), Barbara Sue Cartwright Williams.
